THEEWATERS CONSERVANCY : MISSION.

To manage the Theewaters Conservancy in the most environmentally benificial manner; to preserve the biodiversity,the flora and fauna in as natural and pristine condition as possible.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.

1. To develope the area and resources in an environmentally responcible manner to its full potential.

2. To eliminate alien and intruding vegetation to return the area to its natural state and so protect endemic vegitation and the genetic biodiversity found in the area.

3. To ensure equitable benifit and recreational usage is managed in a manner that is sustainable for resources of this area and to the greatest benifit of those using this conservancy.

4. To protect the area from pollution and harmful practises which could be detrimental to the environment.

5. To re-introduce animals which once roamed this area in an organised and responcible manner.

6. To develope to be self-financing and to aim eventually to be even contributing to environmental projects and conservation.

7. To take ones rightful role in promoting ecotourism.
